As we have realised well our task with the first changes in small bathroom refurbishment, our client decided to charge us with another task – go further with renovations and make changes in a large bathroom. After brainstorming of our Mogio designers, we presented our client a solution based on Victorian style, which main characteristics are: heavy looking furniture, made of exotic wood, rich ornamented accessories, large mirrors and many source of light.
When it comes to space planning in the bathroom, we decided to use before existing sanitary assembly – WC installed on the wall near the window, basin point placed near the left wall and shower installed in the right corner. Our design conception wouldn’t have been Victorian, if we hadn’t placed free standing bathtub in a centre of the room in front of a large window.
Marine colour of tiles
We installed cupboard with white basin and free standing cabinet near it. It looks perfect: dark venge colours of cupboards coincides with marine colour of wall tiles, a large cupboard mirror provides more space for the bathroom in optical and practical terms, selected light points in suspended ceiling bring more lights to this special corner. We didn’t want to get rid of old cast iron chimney which matches ideally with venge cupboards and emphasises Victorian style.
To make the bathroom more functional, our team decided to built water boiler in a cabinet and to make additional shelves around it. Due to it, new wardrobe with boiler inside as well as shelves were finished in white. We repeated marine colour of tiles with one strip of mosaic in the corner of walk in shower. That corresponds to stone imitating floor tiles.
