Very popular material for building any kind of storage from shelving units, through small cabinets to big wardrobes is MDF painted white. This is because plain MDF is cheap and easy to work with. This is great material to create built-in storage especially in small properties. Not enough storage space is the most popular problem in small flats and houses. But very often it is easy to solve the problem by clever design. Well designed built-in wardrobes or cabinets will use minimum of space and provide maximum of storage space.

In one of our project we built good size wardrobe in the small room. The rooms become even smaller because of bathroom which was extended. But we did not see the problem to use the space next to the bathroom and create nice storage which was missing in the flat. There was several small cabinets around the flat for the clothes. The idea was to build one big wardrobe and get rid of the small cabinets. And like you can see it works. The wardrobe is from the floor to the ceiling so we do not loose any of the space. Inside the wardrobe is very well organized so all clothes and accessories fit. By taking away all small cabinets we actually made the place bigger and lighter. Our client got in back the bigger bathroom, bigger room and nice, big, modern wardrobe.

You have a big choice from electric towel warmers, central heating towel rails, to traditional or modern and stylish radiators. They all come in various of colors: chrome, white, stainless steel, and huge range of shapes. Very important part of radiator or towel rail are valves, supplied in most cases as a separate parts. Before order the valves you have to decide if the heater is going to be fitted on the wall or on the floor. Typical radiators are not very expensive but if you decide to get one of the designer radiators or towel rail, it can cost more then you think. Getting heater for your bathroom help you to avoid unpleasant smell of damp towels. Those days, bathrooms are equipped with heaters which make even a very wet towel dry quickly.

In one of our latest project we tried to find compromise between those two. If you like the minimalism and look of modern shower rooms but still don’t want to give up your bath time; here are some ideas to still.

We had small bathroom divided into two parts with standard square bath, washbasin and radiator in bigger part; toilet and bathroom cabinet were situated in smaller part.
The ceiling was very low what made the bathroom looks even smaller.
Client decided to have corner bath with 3 outlet mixer on the wall and rain shower instead of creating the typical wet room. To fit the corner bath we had to extend the room 60cm. The layout of bathroom units was changed completely except the toilet.
As the corner bath was going to be fit in the front wall of the bathroom we had to move washbasin and radiator to the opposite sides.

When it comes to choosing a glass you can design it yourself and order up to measurement or get it ready made from local retailer. Wall channel and seals are always an option but all additional hardware increase cost of the glass so always make sure you get it in your estimate. All wet rooms below are not bigger then 5 sqm. If you have a small bathroom like those you may see a wet room like a great solution. Wet rooms and walk in showers give you possibility to achieve the unique design. However the best thing about wet room is that it will fit to even the smallest area in your home..
