wet room ideas plumbing design

As you might be updating you existing bathroom or creating new space by converting bedroom or any other design, you might consider having a wet room instead of bathroom. There is a difference, just which gives you more option then bathroom. You can squeeze in tiny shower room, or create beautiful ensuite. This bathroom looks like two in one, we have wet room floor and bathroom, and someone might ask what idea is behind. This was the Client, design which contains option 1. Having wet room just in case if decides to sell property, and remove bath, the second option, he preferred of having shower room with the bath and bath spout, and this solution work brilliant. Water from the bath drain directly to the floor drainage, wet room floor itself is been tanked as you might noticed. Walls tiled with marble and stone on the floor. Lets get some more into tech jargon of this practically project.

Wet room floor showering area is 1600mm x 1600mm, that will allow property water drainage from bath and from the shower if splash. Floor covered with 40mm floor panels just to create the same floor gig through whole bathroom, including taping and bonding area. Some of the walls where covered with the same panels thickness of 10mm and moisture resistance plasterboards. Oh yes, all plumbing was done before floor panels and wall panels went on. Plumbing I mean shower valve, with two outlets, for the bath spot and shower head, wet room drainage plumbing, radiator, basin, that for the first and 2nd fix. Once that was done, we moved to tiles, was marble tiles with some shadows, and titled full walls around the shower and 3/4wall what left. Floor was tiled with dark stone tiles. Once all of that was in place 2nd plumbing fix come, and to fit this Victorian bath, oh...that was pretty heavy. Oh,..yes we got some question about this wooden  cupboard, doesn't this got wet or did you treated this wood some how ??? The answer is we didn’t. That was already treated from the supplier with three coats of varnish on it. I am sure that will last for years in this wet room, shell I say combo bathroom solution...Project took 14 working days to finish was carried out in Brixton area in 2009.
