Made exclusively for John Lewis in France from solid French oak, this substantial coffee table with double drawer is part of a rustically styled collection with a distressed finish to create an impression of age and use. The timber is selected for its natural characteristics and given time to dry and age, so no two pieces will be exactly alike in colour or grain. The Vanille finish is achieved by using a white stain, a cellulose lacquer and finally transparent wax, applied by hand, to give a fresh country look. To maintain its natural lustre and counteract the drying effect of central heating, simply apply a natural beeswax a couple of times a year. Avoid the use of silicone spray polish and wipe up spillage with a damp cloth. Delivered fully assembled. Exclusive to John Lewis.
